Walking
From downtown Chillicothe, start at the intersection of Main Street and Paint Street. Head east on Paint Street for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with North Bridge Street. Turn left onto North Bridge Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. You will pass a few shops and restaurants. After crossing the Scioto River, continue straight, and North Bridge Street will become North High Street. Follow North High Street for another 0.5 miles. Look for the signs for Buzzard's Roost as you approach the entrance of the park.

Take the local bus service from the Chillicothe Transit Station located at the corner of 3rd Street and Paint Street. Board the bus that heads towards the 'Red Bird Lane' stop. The bus ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Red Bird Lane stop, walk approximately 0.2 miles south on Red Bird Lane, and you will reach Buzzard's Roost at 514 Red Bird Ln. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest times.

If you have a bike, you can start from Yoctangee Park in downtown Chillicothe. Head east on East Water Street until you reach North Bridge Street. Take a right onto North Bridge Street and continue for about 1 mile. After crossing the Scioto River, stay on North High Street, which will lead you directly towards Buzzard's Roost. The distance is approximately 2 miles, and you’ll enjoy some scenic views along the way.
