Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From the center of Chillicothe (say, at the Ross County Courthouse), walk to the nearest bus stop on Bridge Street. Catch the Chillicothe Public Transit bus heading towards the Scioto Trail State Park area. The bus will take you to a stop near 144 Lake Rd. Once you get off, walk towards Lake Road, and you'll see the park entrance. The journey should take about 30 minutes, depending on bus schedules.

  • Bicycle

    Start at the intersection of Main Street and Paint Street. Head south on Main Street, then turn left onto Lake Road. Continue on Lake Road for approximately 1.5 miles. You'll find Scioto Trail State Park on your right. Ensure you follow the bike lanes where available for safety.

    If you're in downtown Chillicothe, begin at the Ross County Courthouse. Head east on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Lake Road.
