Walking
From Newport, head southwest on Monmouth St towards E 4th St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Ohio River waterfront. Turn left onto the Riverwalk and enjoy the views as you walk along the river. After about 0.3 miles, you will reach the bridge that connects Newport to Cincinnati. Cross the bridge (John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge) into Cincinnati. Once you are on the Cincinnati side, continue straight onto E 3rd St. After two blocks, turn right onto E 4th St. You will find the Historic Site of Fort Washington at 421 E 4th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

From Newport, walk to the nearest bus stop at 5th & Monmouth. Take the Metro bus route 1 towards the Government Square. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at 4th St & Main St. From there, walk one block east on 4th St. The Historic Site of Fort Washington will be on your left at 421 E 4th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202. Note: A single bus fare costs $2.00.
