If you are driving to the Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, start from the nearest major highway, which is I-80 (Ohio Turnpike). Take exit 170 for I-271 N toward Erie, and then merge onto I-480 W. Continue on I-480 W and take exit 23 for OH-8 S toward Akron. Follow OH-8 S and take exit 18 for Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Public Transportation
To reach the Towpath Trail using public transportation, you can take the RTA (Regional Transit Authority) bus service. Board the bus at the nearest RTA stop and take the route that heads towards the Brecksville Reservation. From the Brecksville stop, you will need to transfer to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR), which offers a ride through the park with a stop near the Trading Post. Make sure to check the CVSR schedule for train times. Tickets for the train can be purchased online or at the station, and prices vary based on the route and time.
