If you are driving from downtown Grand River Valley, start by heading south on Main Street toward State Route 2. Merge onto State Route 2 and continue for approximately 12 miles. Take exit 227 for Interstate 77 South toward Akron. Merge onto I-77 South and continue for about 8 miles. Take exit 155A for I-480 East toward Youngstown. Continue on I-480 for about 5 miles and take exit 23 for Granger Road. Turn right onto Granger Road, then turn left onto Towpath Trail. Follow Towpath Trail until you reach Lock 39, which will be on your left.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking the Greater Cleveland RTA train from downtown Cleveland to the 'Brookpark' station. From Brookpark, transfer to the 76 bus heading toward Valley View. Get off at the 'Granger Road & Towpath Trail' stop. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles south on Towpath Trail until you reach Lock 39. Make sure to check the RTA schedule for bus and train timings as they may vary.

If you prefer cycling, there are bike-friendly paths leading to Lock 39. Start from the center of Grand River Valley and follow the bike trails towards the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
