Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Mansfield, walk to the nearest bus stop on Park Avenue East. Take the Richland County Transit bus route 1 towards Ontario. Remain on the bus for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the stop at the intersection of Park Avenue and West Fourth Street. From there, transfer to bus route 3 towards Lexington. Ride for another 15 minutes until you reach the stop near the intersection of Orweiler Rd and US-42. The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop; head east on Orweiler Rd until you reach 3774 Orweiler Rd.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to ride a bike, start from downtown Mansfield and head south on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-30. Turn left onto US-30, then take the next right onto Trimble Rd. Follow Trimble Rd until you reach the intersection with Orweiler Rd. Turn right on Orweiler Rd, and continue for about 1 mile until you arrive at the Ohio Bird Sanctuary located at 3774 Orweiler Rd.

• Walking

  If you are close to the center of Mansfield, you can walk to the Ohio Bird Sanctuary. Start at the Richland Carrousel Park and head south on Park Avenue East. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with West Fourth Street. Turn left and walk until you reach US-42. Cross the street and continue walking straight onto Orweiler Rd. Follow Orweiler Rd for about 1.5 miles until you reach 3774 Orweiler Rd, where the sanctuary is located.
