History of Northwest Ohio

Before European settlers arrived, Northwest Ohio was home to various Native American tribes, including the Wyandot, Ottawa, and Shawnee peoples. These tribes lived off the rich natural resources of the area, which included dense forests, rivers, and fertile lands.
