Car
If you are driving from downtown Lima, head northeast on W Market St toward N Main St. Continue on OH-309 E for about 2.5 miles. Merge onto I-75 N and follow for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 125 for OH-198 toward Lima. Continue on OH-198 for about 3 miles. The Fort Amanda Ohio Historical Marker will be located on your right at 22547 OH-198, Lima, OH 45806. There is no entry fee to visit the marker.

Public Transportation
Take the Allen County Public Transit (ACPT) bus service from downtown Lima. You can catch the Route 1 bus from the Lima Civic Center, heading towards the Allen County Fairgrounds. This route does not directly stop at Fort Amanda, so you will need to get off at the nearest stop on OH-198. From there, it is about a 1-mile walk to the marker. Make sure to check the ACPT schedule for bus times and plan accordingly. The fare for a one-way trip is approximately $1.50.

If you prefer cycling, start from downtown Lima and take the W Market St bike lane heading east. Continue on OH-309 E and then merge onto I-75 N. While riding on the highway is not recommended, you can take side roads parallel to reach the area. Head north on OH-198 after about 2.5 miles. The marker is located about 3 miles down this route. Ensure you have a helmet and follow local traffic laws. There are no costs associated with cycling, but wear appropriate gear.
