If you are driving from any location in Western Ohio, you can take Interstate 70 East towards Columbus. Merge onto Interstate 71 North towards Cleveland. After approximately 120 miles, take the exit for Interstate 90 East towards Erie. Continue on I-90 for about 10 miles. Take exit 171A for East 9th Street toward Downtown. Follow signs for the Cleveland Waterfront and merge onto Erieside Avenue. The Steamship William G. Mather Museum will be on your left at 601 Erieside Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114. Parking is available nearby, and you may incur parking fees depending on the lot you choose.

For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus or Amtrak train to Cleveland. From the Greyhound bus station or Amtrak station, you can take the RTA (Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority) buses or the light rail. If you take the RTA, board the Red Line train towards Airport and get off at the Tower City Center station. Transfer to the #51 or #55 bus towards the waterfront. Get off at the stop near Erieside Avenue. The Steamship William G. Mather Museum is a short walk from there. Be sure to check the RTA website for the latest schedules and fares.
