Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Western Reserve. Head north on State Route 3 (North) for about 12 miles. Turn left onto Fox Lake Road and continue for about 2 miles. You will see the entrance to Johnson Woods State Nature Preserve on your right at 13240 Fox Lake Rd, Marshallville, OH 44645. There is no entrance fee for the preserve.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, first check local bus routes that service the area. Take a bus from Western Reserve to Wooster, then transfer to the Wooster Transit bus service. Get off at the stop closest to State Route 3 and Fox Lake Road. From there, it is a 2-mile walk to the preserve entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited. Note that there may be a small fare for the bus ride.

If you prefer cycling, you can bike from Western Reserve following the same route as the car. Use State Route 3 and then take Fox Lake Road. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local traffic laws.
