If you are in the Lake Erie Islands, begin by taking the ferry back to the mainland. The most common ferry is the Jet Express, which departs from Put-in-Bay or Kelleys Island to Port Clinton. Once you arrive at Port Clinton, get onto State Route 2 East. Follow Route 2 until you reach the exit for State Route 57 South. Continue on Route 57 for about 15 miles until you reach Clinton. The Ohio & Erie Canal is located at 2749 North St, Clinton, OH 44216. Look for signs for the canal as you approach the area.

Public Transportation
First, take the ferry from the Lake Erie Islands to the mainland. After arriving at Port Clinton, you will need to catch a Greyhound bus or a local transit bus that services the area. Depending on the schedule, this may require some waiting time. Take the bus towards Akron or another destination that connects to Clinton. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to get off at Clinton. Once you get off, you can walk to North St, where the Ohio & Erie Canal is located at 2749 North St, Clinton, OH 44216. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for a smooth journey.
