Car
From Salalah city center, drive east on the Sultan Qaboos Street (also known as Route 31) for about 30 kilometers. You will pass the Al Baleed Archaeological Park on your right. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with Route 32. Turn right onto Route 32, which will lead you toward the town of Taqah. Follow Route 32 for approximately 10 kilometers until you see the sign for Darbat Waterfall. Turn left at the sign, and the waterfall will be a short drive down this road. There is parking available near the waterfall, but it may be limited during peak tourist seasons.
Public Transportation
To reach Darbat Waterfall using public transportation, start at the Salalah Bus Station. Take a bus heading toward Taqah. The fare is typically around 1 Omani Rial. Inform the driver that you want to visit Darbat Waterfall, and he will drop you off at the closest point to the waterfall. From there, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the waterfall. Be prepared for a short hike as the terrain can be uneven. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as services may be limited, especially on weekends.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Salalah to Darbat Waterfall. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. The fare should be around 15-20 Omani Rials one way. It's advisable to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
