Getting there

Walking

Starting from the center of Mirbat, make your way to the coastal road (also known as the Mirbat Road). Head south along this road, enjoying the scenic views of the coastline. As you walk, keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Mirbat Fort, which will be on your right. Continue walking for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. At the fork, take the left path that leads inland towards the mountains.

Once you take the left path at the fork, follow the road as it winds through the countryside. You will encounter a few small villages along the way where you can ask locals for directions if you feel unsure. After about 2 kilometers, you will start to see the foothills of Jabal Sahman rising ahead of you. Continue on this path until you reach the base of the mountain.

Hiking

At the base of Jabal Sahman, you will find a trail that leads up the mountain. The ascent can be steep, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear and carry enough water. Follow the well-marked trail, which will take you through some rocky terrain. The hike to the summit takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your fitness level. Enjoy the panoramic views of Mirbat and the surrounding area as you climb.

Walking

Upon reaching the summit of Jabal Sahman, take your time to soak in the breathtaking views. You can relax here and take photos of the stunning landscape. When you're ready to descend, retrace your steps back down the same trail you came up. Make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed during your descent.

After descending, head back to the base of the mountain and follow the same path you took to get here. Once you return to the fork in the road, take the right path back to the coastal road and then make your way back to the center of Mirbat. This round trip should take you a few hours, so plan accordingly.
