Getting There

Walking
Start at the center of Mirbat, near the Mirbat Castle. From the castle, head east towards the coast along the main road (Sultan Qaboos Street). After about 1 km, you will come across a small roundabout. Take the second exit towards the Jabal Samhan Nature Reserve, following the signs. Continue walking for approximately 2 km until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads to the entrance of Jabal Samhan. Note that this is a rugged path, so be prepared for some uneven terrain.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Mirbat Castle and ride along Sultan Qaboos Street heading east. After about 1 km, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit towards Jabal Samhan. Continue on this road for about 2 km until you reach the fork. Take the left path that leads to the entrance of Jabal Samhan. This route is more manageable on a bicycle than walking, but caution is advised due to the uneven surface.

Hiking
For those looking for a more adventurous route, start at the Mirbat Beach. Begin your hike by following the coastline heading east. After about 1.5 km, veer inland towards the foothills of Jabal Samhan. You can find trails that lead up to the mountain. Be sure to carry plenty of water and wear suitable hiking shoes as the terrain can be challenging.
