From the center of Nizwa, head to the Nizwa Fort. From there, walk south on the main road (27th July Street) towards the Nizwa Souq. Continue walking south past the souq until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route 21. Follow Route 21 for about 45 kilometers until you reach Tanuf. The castle ruins will be located on the outskirts of Tanuf town.
