Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Sur, head towards the waterfront. You can start at the Sur Corniche, which is a popular area. Walk along the Corniche heading east until you reach the intersection with Al Shati Street. Turn left onto Al Shati Street and continue walking straight. Follow the road for about 1 kilometer until you see signs for the Dhow Factory. The factory is located near the coast, so you will be able to see the traditional wooden dhows being built from the road.

Another starting point could be from the Sur Heritage Centre. From the Centre, walk east along Al Meena Street towards the harbor. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the intersection with Al Shati Street. Turn right onto Al Shati Street and walk straight for about 15 minutes. You will notice the Dhow Factory on your left side, surrounded by the beauty of the coastline.

If you prefer public transport, you can take a local bus or shared taxi (known as a 'taxi' in Oman) from the main bus station in Sur. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Dhow Factory or near the waterfront area. Once you get off, look for the signs directing you towards the Dhow Factory, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.
