From the center of Sur (for example, starting at the Sur Corniche), head southeast towards the Al Ameen Mosque. Continue straight along the main road (Sultan Qaboos Street) for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with 23rd July Street. Turn left onto 23rd July Street and walk for another 1 kilometer until you see the signs pointing to Sunaysilah Fort. The fort is located at HGH3+PM4, Sur, and you will find it on your right after a short walk.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the Sur Corniche. Cycle southeast along the shoreline until you reach Al Ameen Mosque. From there, continue on Sultan Qaboos Street for approximately 1.5 kilometers. At the intersection with 23rd July Street, turn left and cycle another kilometer. Sunaysilah Fort will be on your right at HGH3+PM4, Sur. The ride is relatively flat and offers scenic views.
