    If you are in the center of Sur, start at the Sur Castle which is a well-known landmark. From there, head towards the coast, walking towards the Al Ayjah district. After about 10 minutes of walking straight along the coast, you will reach the Al Ayjah Lighthouse. Continue past the lighthouse along the waterfront for another 5 minutes. You will see local shops and cafés along the way, which could be a good place to stop for refreshments. After passing the lighthouse, follow the road as it curves slightly to the right. The Dhow Factory is located a short distance ahead on your left, identifiable by the traditional wooden dhows visible from the road.
