From Wadi Shab, head north on the main road (Route 23) for approximately 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Wadi Bani Khalid. Turn left onto the road towards Wadi Bani Khalid and continue for about 6 kilometers until you reach the parking area. Parking is typically free. From the parking area, it is a short walk to the pools and cave.

Take a local bus or shared taxi (called 'taxi') from Wadi Shab to Ibra. The bus or taxi will drop you off in Ibra, where you can find another taxi or local transport heading to Wadi Bani Khalid. The journey from Ibra to Wadi Bani Khalid is about 30 km. Expect to pay around 1-2 Omani Riyals for the bus ride to Ibra, and an additional 5-10 Omani Riyals for the taxi to Wadi Bani Khalid.
