Car
From Al Hajar Ash Sharqi, head south towards the town of Tiwi. The most common route is to take Route 23 heading towards Sur. Continue on this road for approximately 1 hour until you reach Tiwi. Once in Tiwi, look for signs directing you to Wadi Shab. There is a parking area for visitors near the entrance of the wadi, where you can safely leave your car. Note that there may be a small parking fee.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Al Hajar Ash Sharqi to Sur. Buses usually depart from the main bus station and take around 1.5 hours to reach Sur. Once you arrive in Sur, you will need to catch a local taxi or a shared minibus to Tiwi. Make sure to tell the driver you are going to Wadi Shab. The taxi fare should not exceed 5 OMR. After arriving in Tiwi, you will need to walk to the Wadi Shab entrance, which is about 20 minutes away.

For a more convenient option, consider hiring a taxi directly from Al Hajar Ash Sharqi to Wadi Shab. You can negotiate a fare with the driver, which typically ranges from 15 to 25 OMR for a round trip. The driver will drop you off at the Wadi Shab entrance, where you can begin your hike. Make sure to agree on a time for the return trip.
