Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Wadi Shab, which is located approximately 1.5 hours from Muscat. Follow Route 15 (Muscat-Sur Highway) and take the exit towards Tiwi. Once you reach the entrance of Wadi Shab, park your car in the designated parking area. From there, you will need to take a small boat across the river to the trailhead. The boat ride costs around 1 OMR (Omani Rial). After crossing, follow the marked path leading into the wadi, which will take you through beautiful scenery for about 40 minutes until you reach Wadi Shab Cave.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or shared taxi from Muscat to Tiwi. This journey typically takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Tiwi, you may need to arrange for a taxi to take you to the entrance of Wadi Shab. Upon reaching the entrance, you will still need to pay for the boat ride across the river, which is about 1 OMR (Omani Rial). After crossing, follow the path for approximately 40 minutes to arrive at Wadi Shab Cave.
