Car
To reach Eagle Cap Wilderness from Baker City, head east on I-84 E for about 30 miles. Take exit 285 for OR-203 toward La Grande. Follow OR-203 N for approximately 12 miles until you reach the town of Lostine. In Lostine, turn left onto Lostine River Road. Continue on this road for about 10 miles, following signs toward the Eagle Cap Wilderness entrance. Parking is available near the trailheads.
Public Transportation
If you are traveling via public transportation, take the bus from Baker City to La Grande, which is operated by the Eastern Oregon Transit. Once you arrive in La Grande, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Lostine, which is about 12 miles away. From Lostine, you will need to arrange for a ride to the Eagle Cap Wilderness trailhead or consider hiking from the nearest point accessible by car.
