From downtown Bend, you can take the Cascades East Transit bus line 'CET Route 1 - Bend to Sunriver'. Board the bus at any of the designated stops downtown, such as the Bend Public Library stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the 'Lava Lands Visitor Center' stop, which is well marked.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike shops in Bend. Start your journey from downtown Bend and head south on Galveston Ave. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-97. Carefully cross the highway, then follow the bike path along the highway south towards Lava Lands Visitor Center. The ride is approximately 10 miles and will take around 40-50 minutes.
