Getting There

Car
If you are driving, head towards WA-14. From the east side of the Cascade Mountains, you can take US-97 towards The Dalles, then merge onto I-84 W. Continue on I-84 W until you reach exit 44 for WA-14 W towards Washougal. Stay on WA-14 W, which will take you directly towards Stevenson. Follow WA-14 for approximately 40 miles. Beacon Rock State Park will be on your right, just past the small town of Stevenson. Look for the park entrance at 34841 WA-14, Stevenson, WA 98648. Parking is available at the park, and there is a day-use fee of $10 for parking.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Columbia Gorge Express bus service. This bus runs from Portland, Oregon to various points along the Columbia River Gorge. Board the bus at the Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. Make sure to check the schedule as the bus runs only a few times a day. After about an hour's ride, disembark at the Stevenson stop. From the bus stop in Stevenson, it is a 2-mile walk to the park entrance. Follow WA-14 E for approximately 0.5 miles, then turn onto Beacon Rock Road, which will lead you to the park. Alternatively, you could request a taxi or rideshare service from the bus stop to the park if you prefer not to walk.

For the more adventurous, biking is also an option. If you are staying in Stevenson or nearby, you can rent a bike and ride along the scenic paths of WA-14. The ride from Stevenson to Beacon Rock State Park is about 2 miles and provides beautiful views of the Columbia River Gorge. Ensure your bike is equipped with safety gear and follow all traffic rules, as you will be riding along the highway.
