If you're traveling by car, start on the Historic Columbia River Highway (US-30) heading east from Portland. Follow the signs for the Columbia River Gorge. Continue on US-30 for about 30 miles until you reach the entrance to the John B. Yeon State Scenic Corridor. Turn left into the corridor, and follow the road to the Elowah Falls Trailhead. There is a small parking area available, but note that it can fill up quickly on weekends and holidays. Parking is free.
