Car
If you're driving from Portland, take I-84 East and then merge onto US-26 East. Continue on US-26 for approximately 30 miles until you reach the town of Sandy. From Sandy, take OR-224 East, and follow the signs toward Mount Hood National Forest. After about 15 miles, turn onto Larch Mountain Road, which will lead you to the Larch Mountain trailhead. Note that the road may be narrow and winding, so drive carefully. There is no entry fee for the road, but be prepared for potential parking fees at the trailhead.
Public Transportation
To reach Larch Mountain via public transportation, first take the MAX Blue Line from downtown Portland heading towards Hillsboro. Get off at the 'Sandy Blvd/NE 102nd Ave' station. From there, you can catch the Sandy Area Metro (SAM) bus service towards Sandy. Once in Sandy, you will need to either arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Larch Mountain Road, as public transport does not go directly to the mountain. Be aware that this option may incur additional costs for the taxi or rideshare.
Hiking
If you are already in the vicinity and have access to a nearby trail, you can hike to Larch Mountain. There are several trails that lead to the summit, with the most popular being the Larch Mountain Trail starting from the Larch Mountain trailhead.
