If you are driving from Portland, Oregon, take I-84 E for approximately 85 miles. Take exit 109 for US-97 S towards Biggs Junction. Continue on US-97 S for about 25 miles. Merge onto I-82 W towards Umatilla. After about 14 miles, take exit 1 for US-730 W. Follow US-730 W for approximately 8 miles until you reach Arlington, OR. After entering Arlington, follow the signs to the Oregon Trail Fourmile Canyon Historic Site, which is located just outside of town to the east. The site itself is marked and is about a 10-minute drive from Arlington.
