Car
From most locations in Central Oregon, including Bend, take US-20 W towards Sisters. Continue on US-20 W for about 35 miles until you reach the junction with OR-126 W. Take the exit for OR-126 W towards Florence. Follow OR-126 W for approximately 20 miles until you see signs for McKenzie River Drive. Turn left onto McKenzie River Drive, and after about 2 miles, you will find the Sahalie Falls Viewpoint parking area on your right.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bend to Eugene (check the Cascades East Transit for schedules). From Eugene, transfer to a local transit service that goes towards McKenzie Bridge. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as services may be limited. Once you arrive at McKenzie Bridge, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Sahalie Falls Viewpoint, which is about 10 miles away from the McKenzie Bridge area.
Walking
If you are already in the area, you can reach the Sahalie Falls Viewpoint by walking along the McKenzie River Trail. Starting from the nearby campground, follow the marked trails that lead to the viewpoint. The hike is approximately 1 mile and offers beautiful views of the river and surrounding forest, but be prepared for some elevation changes.
