Getting There

Car
From Portland, take I-84 E towards The Dalles. Continue on I-84 for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 25 for Corbett. At the exit, turn left onto E Historic Columbia River Hwy. Continue for about 2 miles, then turn right onto SE Rooster Rock State Park Rd. Follow the signs to the park entrance. There is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, so be prepared to pay that upon arrival.

Public Transportation
Take the MAX Light Rail Blue Line towards Hillsboro. Transfer at the Gateway/NE 99th Ave station to the Columbia Gorge Express bus which operates from May to September. The bus stops at Rooster Rock State Park. Check the schedule for the exact timing. The fare for the bus is $10 one-way. Make sure to check the latest updates on service availability as it may vary.

Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, start from the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail. Follow the trail that runs parallel to I-84, which will take you past scenic views of the Gorge. When you reach the junction with SE Rooster Rock State Park Rd, turn right to enter the park. Be sure to wear a helmet and have a bike lock if you plan on stopping to explore.
