Car
If you are traveling by car within Deschutes County, start by getting onto US-97 N from your location. Follow US-97 N for approximately 24 miles until you reach the exit for OR-126 W towards Eugene. Continue on OR-126 W for about 30 miles until you reach the town of Sisters. From Sisters, take OR-20 W for about 10 miles, then turn left onto NF-46, which will lead you towards Bagby Hot Springs. Follow NF-46 for approximately 20 miles until you reach the Bagby Hot Springs parking area. Note that there is a small parking fee, so be sure to have cash on hand.
Public Transportation
For those relying on public transportation, take the Cascades East Transit bus from Bend to Sisters. Once in Sisters, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Bagby Hot Springs. This last leg of the journey may require an additional fare, so be prepared for that cost. If you are not familiar with rideshare apps, it is advisable to book in advance or ask local businesses for recommendations on local taxi services.
Hiking
If you are up for an adventure and enjoy hiking, consider parking at the nearby designated areas and hiking to Bagby Hot Springs. The hike is approximately 2.5 miles from the nearest parking area. Follow the marked trails, and be sure to wear sturdy hiking boots as the terrain can be rugged. This option allows for the enjoyment of the beautiful Oregon scenery along the way.
