Car
If you are driving from Roseburg, head east on OR-138 E for approximately 70 miles. Once you reach the intersection with OR-62, turn left onto OR-62 N. Continue for about 10 miles until you reach the entrance to Crater Lake National Park. A park entrance fee is required, which is $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. After entering the park, follow the signs to Rim Drive. Keep driving until you reach Cloudcap Overlook, located at latitude 42.9349989 and longitude -122.0485256. Parking is available at the overlook.
Public Transportation + Car
For those using public transportation, take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to Roseburg, Oregon. From there, you will need to arrange a car rental or a shuttle service to reach Cloudcap Overlook. Follow the same driving directions as mentioned above once you have rented a car.
Bicycle
For the adventurous cyclist, start in Roseburg and take OR-138 E. This route is approximately 70 miles long and can be challenging due to elevation changes. Ensure you are prepared with proper cycling gear and enough supplies for a long ride. Once you reach Crater Lake National Park, follow the same directions to Cloudcap Overlook. Note that there are no bike rental services available in the park, so you must bring your own bicycle.
