Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Hood River. Head south on Oak Street toward 2nd Street. Turn left onto 2nd Street, then immediately turn right onto State Highway 35. Continue on Highway 35 for approximately 1 mile until you reach the intersection with East 2nd Street. Turn left onto East 2nd Street, and then take a right onto Railroad Street. The Mount Hood Railroad will be located on your right at 110 Railroad Street, Hood River, OR 97031. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the Columbia Area Transit bus service. Check the current schedule and routes to find a bus that stops near your location in Hood River County and heads toward downtown Hood River. Once you arrive at the downtown Hood River stop, walk to Oak Street and follow the same directions as for car travel: head south on Oak Street, turn left onto 2nd Street, then right onto State Highway 35, and follow the signs to Railroad Street. The Mount Hood Railroad is located at 110 Railroad Street, Hood River, OR 97031.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in downtown Hood River. Head south on Oak Street, then turn left onto 2nd Street. After that, take a right onto State Highway 35. Follow the highway for about a mile, then turn left onto East 2nd Street and right onto Railroad Street. The Mount Hood Railroad will be on your right at 110 Railroad Street. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local bike regulations for a safe ride.
