If you are traveling by car within Hood River County, start by heading east on Highway 30 from Hood River. Continue driving for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with Interstate 84. Take the exit for I-84 East towards The Dalles. Drive for approximately 3 miles and take exit 44 for Cascade Locks. After exiting, turn left onto Cascade Locks Highway (also known as Historic Columbia River Highway) and follow the signs for the Bridge of the Gods. Cross the bridge into Washington and immediately turn left onto the road leading to the parking area for Sherrard Point. The parking lot is located at the trailhead for the short hike to Sherrard Point, which is approximately a 0.5-mile walk up a well-marked trail.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from Hood River to Cascade Locks. Check the CAT website for the latest schedules. Once you arrive in Cascade Locks, you will need to use a rideshare service or taxi to reach the Sherrard Point trailhead as public transportation does not cover this last leg.
