Start at the downtown area of Hood River, Oregon. Head east on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Continue on 1st Street until you reach the intersection with State Highway 35. Cross the highway carefully and head north on State Highway 35. After about 0.5 miles, look for the Columbia Gorge Express bus stop, where you can catch a bus to Cascade Locks. Purchase a ticket and board the bus. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Cascade Locks, get off at the Starvation Creek Trailhead stop. From there, follow the signs to the Starvation Ridge Trail #414. Hike the trail for about 2 miles until you reach Cabin Creek Falls.

Rent a bike from a local shop in Hood River. Start at the shop and head east on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Take a right on 1st Street and continue until you reach State Highway 35. Follow State Highway 35 north for about 2 miles until you reach the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area. Look for the bike path that runs parallel to the highway. Continue on the bike path until you reach the Starvation Creek Trailhead. Lock your bike there and hike the remaining 2 miles on the Starvation Ridge Trail #414 to Cabin Creek Falls.
