Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start on I-84 E from any location in the Columbia River Gorge. Take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. After exiting, turn left onto Cascade Locks Highway (also known as State Route 30). Continue for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto Starvation Ridge Trail #414. The parking area is a short distance from this turn, where you can find space to park your vehicle. Please note that parking may be limited during peak seasons.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cabin Creek Falls using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express bus from Portland. The bus will take you to Cascade Locks. Once you arrive at the Cascade Locks stop, you can walk or take a taxi to the Starvation Ridge Trailhead. The trailhead is approximately 1.5 miles from the bus stop, so be prepared for a short walk. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary depending on the day and season.

• Hiking

  Once you reach the Starvation Ridge Trail #414, begin your hike toward Cabin Creek Falls. The trailhead is well marked, and the hike is approximately 1.5 miles one way. The trail can be steep in places, so wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry plenty of water. The falls are located at the end of the trail and are a beautiful destination to relax and enjoy nature.
