From downtown Hood River, head east on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Turn left onto 1st Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Cascade Avenue. Turn right onto Cascade Avenue. Follow Cascade Avenue as it turns into Highway 35. Continue walking along the highway; you will see signs for Government Camp. It is approximately a 30-mile walk and may take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks.
