Bicycle
If you're in downtown Hood River, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Start your journey by heading east on Oak Street toward the Columbia River. Once you reach the waterfront, take the path along the river, which will lead you to the Historic Columbia River Highway. Continue on the highway for about 8 miles, enjoying the scenic views. Rowena Crest Viewpoint is well marked along the way; just look for the signs. The viewpoint will be on your right as you approach 6500 Historic Columbia River Hwy.

Public Transit
From downtown Hood River, you can take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus. Catch the CAT bus at the stop near the Hood River Event Site. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may vary. You will want to get on the bus heading towards Mosier. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Rowena Crest Viewpoint. The bus will drop you off near the entrance, and it's a short walk to the viewpoint from there.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and want to walk, you can head out from downtown Hood River. Start by walking east on Oak Street towards the waterfront. Once you reach the river, turn right onto the path that follows the water. Continue on this path until you reach the Historic Columbia River Highway. After that, you’ll need to walk along the highway heading east for about 8 miles. Please be cautious, as the highway can have traffic. Follow the signs to Rowena Crest Viewpoint, which will be on your right.
