    Walking

    From the center of Hood River, head south on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Continue straight as Oak Street becomes 2nd Street, then follow it until you reach the intersection with Cascade Avenue. Turn left onto Cascade Avenue and continue walking until you reach the Waterfront Park. Once at the park, follow the path along the Columbia River until you reach the bridge that leads to Cascade Locks. Cross the bridge, and continue on the path that runs alongside the river. After crossing the bridge, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Portage Road. Follow Portage Road, and you'll find the Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge at 299 SW Portage Rd, Cascade Locks, OR 97014.

    Biking

    Start at the Hood River Waterfront Park and head west on the paved bike path along the Columbia River. This scenic route will lead you towards the Bridge of the Gods. Continue biking across the bridge, which connects Hood River to Cascade Locks. After crossing the bridge, take a right onto Portage Road.
