From the center of Hood River, head south on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Continue straight as Oak Street becomes 2nd Street, then follow it until you reach the intersection with Cascade Avenue. Turn left onto Cascade Avenue and continue walking until you reach the Waterfront Park. Once at the park, follow the path along the Columbia River until you reach the bridge that leads to Cascade Locks. Cross the bridge, and continue on the path that runs alongside the river.
