Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from downtown Hood River, head east on Oak Street towards 1st Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cascade Avenue (Highway 30). Cross Cascade Avenue carefully as there may be traffic. Once across, turn left onto Cascade Avenue and walk for about two blocks until you reach 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street and walk north. After a short walk, you will see a park area; the Hood River Skate Park is located within this park complex. The entrance to the skate park is clearly marked, and you will find it situated at 03N10E26DC00100.

• Biking

  From downtown Hood River, you can rent a bike at one of the local rental shops. Start by heading east on Oak Street. Continue pedaling straight until you get to Cascade Avenue (Highway 30). Turn left onto Cascade Avenue and cycle for approximately 0.2 miles until you reach 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street and follow it north. The skate park will be on your left, nestled within a green park area, with the entrance clearly marked.

• Public Transit

  Check the local bus schedule for the Hood River Transit system. If there’s a bus stop near your location, board a bus heading towards the downtown area. Once you arrive in downtown Hood River, follow the walking directions above from Oak Street to 8th Street. Alternatively, you can ask the bus driver for the best stop to get off near the skate park; they are usually very helpful.
