If you are driving from anywhere in Jefferson County, take US-97 South towards Bend. This is the most straightforward route. As you approach Bend, look for signs directing you to Deschutes National Forest. The forest's main access points are located off of US-20 and other local roads. For those relying on public transportation, you can take a bus from Madras or Culver to Bend using the Cascades East Transit service.
