If you're starting from the town of Madras, head south on US-97 S for approximately 18 miles. Take the exit for OR-26 W toward Portland. Continue on OR-26 W for about 25 miles until you reach the junction with US-26. Follow US-26 W for about 15 miles until you see signs for Mount Hood Wilderness. Turn left onto Timberline Highway and follow it until you reach the parking areas for the wilderness trails. Be aware that there may be a parking fee of around $5-10 depending on the trailhead.
