Getting There

Car
If you're driving from downtown Klamath Falls, head north on US-97 N. After approximately 40 miles, take the exit for OR-62 E toward Crater Lake. Continue on OR-62 E for about 25 miles. Follow the signs for Crater Lake National Park. Upon entering the park, continue on Rim Drive until you reach Munson Valley Road. Turn left onto Munson Valley Road, and the Steel Visitor Center will be on your right. Make sure to check for any entrance fees to the national park, which are typically around $30 per vehicle (valid for 7 days).

Public transportation options may be limited, but you can look for shuttle services that operate from Klamath Falls to Crater Lake National Park during the summer months. If available, you would take a shuttle to the park entrance and then use the park's shuttle service to reach the Steel Visitor Center. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance and confirm any costs, as they may vary depending on the service provider. Entrance fees to the national park still apply.
