Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by heading to Crater Lake National Park. From the center of Umpqua Valley, take OR-138 E towards the park. The drive is scenic and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your starting point. Once you reach the entrance of Crater Lake National Park, you will need to pay a park entrance fee of $30 per vehicle, which is valid for 7 days. After entering the park, follow the Rim Drive to the Vidae Falls viewpoint. The falls are located at approximately 42.8842° N latitude and -122.0996° W longitude. Look for the signs directing you to Vidae Falls, and be prepared to park in the designated areas.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a bus to the nearest town, which is Prospect, OR. From Umpqua Valley, take a bus to Medford, and then connect to the bus service heading towards Prospect. Once in Prospect, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare to take you to Crater Lake National Park.
