    Car

    From any location in Lake County, head north on the main highway (Oregon Route 31) towards Bend. Follow OR-31 N for approximately 40 miles until you reach the junction with US-97. Merge onto US-97 N towards Bend. After about 15 miles, take exit 135 for OR-372 toward Lava Butte. Once on OR-372, follow the signs for Lava Butte Lookout. The road will lead you directly to the lookout area, where you can park. Note that there may be a parking fee, so have cash or a card ready.

    If you're traveling via public transportation, you can take the Cascades East Transit bus service from Lake County to Bend. Once in Bend, you will need to transfer to a local taxi service or rideshare app, as there is no direct public transport to Lava Butte Lookout.
