Car
If you are driving, begin by heading towards Highway 126 from your location in Lake County. Once you reach Highway 126, turn onto it and continue westward. You will need to keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the McKenzie River area. After approximately 30 miles, you will arrive at the junction of Highway 126 and National Forest Road 2672. Turn onto National Forest Road 2672 and follow it for about 3 miles. You will find a parking area near the trailhead for Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool). The parking area is free but can fill up quickly during peak season, so arrive early.

Public Transportation
Currently, public transportation options directly to Tamolitch Falls are limited. However, you can take a bus to Eugene, Oregon, and from there, connect with a local shuttle service that operates in the McKenzie River area. Once in the McKenzie River area, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach National Forest Road 2672. Be sure to check the shuttle schedules in advance and confirm that they operate during your travel dates.

Hiking
Once you have parked your vehicle at the trailhead, you will need to hike to Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool). The trail is approximately 2 miles one way, and it is a relatively easy hike that should take about 1 to 1.5 hours. Follow the well-marked trail that leads you through beautiful forested areas along the banks of the McKenzie River. The final destination will be the stunning Blue Pool, where the water is a striking blue color due to its depth and clarity. Remember to wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring water with you.
