If you are driving, start from Albany, OR. Take I-5 South to exit 228 for OR-34 E toward Corvallis. Continue on OR-34 E for approximately 25 miles. Turn right onto US-20 E and proceed for about 40 miles until you reach the junction with OR-126 E. Take OR-126 E for about 10 miles until you see signs for Sisters, OR. Continue on to Sisters, then follow signs to the Mount Washington Wilderness area. There are no entry fees for this area, but make sure your vehicle has enough fuel as services can be sparse.

If you are using public transportation, take the Amtrak train to Albany, OR. From Albany, you will need to take a local bus to reach Sisters, OR. Look for the Cascades East Transit service that operates routes to Sisters.
