Getting There

• Car

  From Albany, OR, take I-5 South for approximately 10 miles. Merge onto OR-22 East toward Detroit. Continue on OR-22 for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-20. Take a left onto US-20 East and drive for another 10 miles. Look for signs directing you to the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Note that there may be parking fees at trailheads, which typically cost around $5 for a day pass.

• Public Transportation

  From Albany, take the Linn-Benton Loop bus to Salem. From Salem, transfer to the bus line that goes to Detroit. Once in Detroit, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Mount Jefferson Wilderness area, which is approximately 10 miles away.
