Take the exit toward OR-22 S and continue for about 20 miles. Look for signs for Santiam Pass and then merge onto OR-22 S. Continue on OR-22 S for roughly 15 miles until you reach the junction with OR-226. Take OR-226 towards Detroit Lake. After about 10 miles, turn left onto Breitenbush Road, which will lead you toward the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness area. Follow the signs to the Mt. Jefferson trailhead and parking area. Be aware that parking may be limited, and there could be a fee for parking in the wilderness area.
