Turn left onto US-20 E. After approximately 10 miles, turn right onto NF-12 (also known as Jefferson Park Road). Follow this road until you reach the Mt. Jefferson trailhead parking area. Note that there may be a parking fee, typically around $5.
Public Transportation and Hiking
For those relying on public transportation, start from Salem's downtown area. Board a Greyhound or local transit bus heading towards Detroit. From Detroit, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service as public transport options are limited. Request a ride to the Mt. Jefferson trailhead.
