After about 10 miles, merge onto I-5 N toward Portland. After approximately 30 miles, take exit 286 for OR-224 E toward Estacada. Follow OR-224 E for about 15 miles until you reach Estacada, then turn left onto OR-211 S. Continue for about 5 miles and turn right onto Bagby Rd. Public Transportation
To reach Bagby Hot Springs via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Salem to Estacada. Check with the local transit authority for schedules, as service may vary. Once you arrive in Estacada, you’ll need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the hot springs. The distance from Estacada to Bagby Hot Springs is approximately 9 miles, and this should cost around $15-$25 depending on the service used. Ensure you confirm return transportation as well, as the hot springs area is remote.
Hiking
If you prefer an adventurous route, consider hiking in from the nearby trailheads. From the Bagby Hot Springs trailhead parking area, there's a well-maintained trail that leads directly to the hot springs. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles one way, with a moderate elevation gain. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and bring plenty of water. The trail is usually accessible during the warmer months, but check local conditions before your hike.
