If you're traveling by car, start on OR-22 from any location in Polk County. Head east on OR-22 and merge onto OR-20 E toward Albany. Continue on OR-20 E for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with US-101. Take the exit onto US-101 S. Follow US-101 for approximately 20 miles, then take the exit onto OR-126 E toward Springfield. After around 30 miles on OR-126 E, take the exit toward Blue River. Continue on this road for about 5 miles until you reach the parking area for Terwilliger Hot Springs. Note: The last stretch to the hot springs requires a short hike, so wear comfortable shoes.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this area, but you can take a Greyhound or a similar bus service to Eugene, Oregon. From Eugene, you'll need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the hot springs. The drive from Eugene to Terwilliger Hot Springs is about 45 minutes. Ensure you have a mobile device with a rideshare app installed, as public transit does not directly connect to the hot springs.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the parking area for Terwilliger Hot Springs, be prepared for a short hike. The hike is approximately 0.3 miles through a forested path that is relatively easy but may be muddy. Follow the marked trail to the hot springs, which are located near the river. Make sure to bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes.
